I was hoping to capture pasir ris 'Red House' in broad daylight but my hope vanished upon sighting the upgraded roads and newly-builit condos around there.

Since i can't find the 'Red House' , i took a scroll at the pasir ris park (near costa sand resort).

Its was reported that in the news Tiger Woods seriously injured in accident.

The incident involved Tiger Woods, 33 who pulled out of his driveway in his Cadillac SUV in the posh Isleworth community near Orlando at about 2:25 a.m. when he struck the hydrant, and then plowed into the tree on his neighbor's property
He was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee.

But the Professional golfer Tiger Woods only sustained facial lacerations in a car accident early this morning outside the driveway of his Isleworth home.

The patrol initially reported that Woods was transported to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee in serious condition. And patients' conditions are always classified as "serious" if they are transported to a hospital.

Woods had facial cuts in a minor accident and was treated at Health Central early this morning (27 Nov 2009) and released.

Vivian Chow 'comeback' firm to star as a lesbian lover.

Known for her ladylike, sweet and demure image in Hong Kong, popular actress Vivian Chow will be making her return to the silver screen and is slated to start production for her upcoming movie next month. Apart from acting as a lesbian lover of fellow Hong Kong actress, Sandra Ng, the pair will also share a hot onscreen kiss together.

Chow made her exit from the entertainment industry 12 years ago for love. After her last production in 1996 for the short film, Out of the Blur, it has been 13 years since the actress last appeared on the big screen. Although she has released books, held concerts and partook in commercials, the actress did not wholly resume showbiz work.

Rio de Janeiro bid for the 1936, 1940, 2004 and 2012 Summer Olympics, but failed on every occasion, and missed the shortlist in the last two attempts.On March 14, 2008, the IOC's 2016 Working Group released its evaluation report.

Rio de Janeiro's dream of bringing the Olympics to South America for the first time became reality when they won the vote to host the 2016 edition. They have beaten Chicago, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro and Madrid.

The Brazilian city saw off Madrid in the final round of voting after odds-on favourites Chicago, backed by a personal visit from President Barack Obama, had gone out in a first round sensation.

They were followed by Tokyo, the only city of the four to have previously hosted the Games, in the second round.

In a sensational first round, the 95 eligible voters rejected a personal plea by the most powerful man in the world. Obama had flown in on Friday morning to appear at the final presentation but even his powerful presence, as well as the lobbying of his wife Michelle, failed to excite the members. "We fought a good fight and I am very proud of the team and the campaign," said bid chief Pat Ryan. "Some you win, some you lose. That's the way it goes."

The American city was followed out by Tokyo whose pleas to host the Games for a second time fell on deaf ears. The Tokyo bid team were said to be shocked and stunned as they felt their message on improving the environment radically and placing the accent on youth would play well. Even an impressive turn by newly-elected Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama failed to convince members.

Rio's appearance in the final two is no surprise as they had consistently impressed in the past year and a stunning piece of oratory by Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at the presentation sealed their place. Even Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero had voiced concerns over the bid but he gave a solid performance at the presentation. 2 Disasters marks the end of September 2009. Bad omen for the end of the world? Hopefully its not the case and we can only pray for the best.

The First which is the 2009 Samoa earthquake was an 8.0 Mw earthquake which took place in the Samoan Islands region at September 29, 2009 .It is the largest earthquake so far in 2009.A tsunami was generated which caused substantial damage and loss of life in Samoa, American Samoa, and Tonga. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center recorded a 3-inch (76 mm) rise in sea levels near the epicenter.The quake occurred on the outer rise of the Kermadec-Tonga Subduction Zone where the Pacific Plate dives under the Australian Plate. This is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, where tectonic plates in the earth's lithosphere meet and earthquakes and volcanic activity are common.
The confirmed death toll from the devastating tsunamis that crashed into the Samoa islands and Tonga has risen to 164 with at least 16 more people unaccounted for, officials said Friday.

I thought for a umpteenth time a bird shit has landed on me, but no! I got something a bit wee better, pissed by a bird! Unless a monkey is trying to play punk and i look like a human-size banana, I'm certain it was some kind of bird peeing. But in a urban area they don't really exist.

Its was a beautiful morning until i saw tat splash of yellowish droplets. Lucky, it splashed on my forearm else if it land on my hair, i wouldn't have notice.

She lit her first cigarette as the lights were going out over Europe at the outbreak of the First World War in 1914.
Since then she has reached for her trusty Player’s Navy Blue (or, latterly, Embassy) through the ups and downs of all the following decades.
Until now. At the astonishing age of 102, Winne Langley has kicked the habit after 95 years because she ‘didn’t fancy it any more’.
Mrs Langley, who would share cigarettes with her friends at infant school, reckons she hasn’t contracted cancer because she does not inhale.
The former laundrette worker, who lives in Croydon, South London, said: ‘Everyone used to smoke in those days, you did it to cope. We didn’t know about the health problems. I just don’t fancy it any more.
‘My eyesight is failing so in a few years’ time I might not be able to see the pack.’
Since her first puff in 1914, Mrs Langley averaged five cigarettes a day, giving a total of more than 170,000 in her lifetime.
Her cigarettes were always to hand during the Depression and the Second World War.
‘I lived close to Biggin Hill and you could hear the German rocket bombs’ engines cut out,’ she said.
‘Some bombs used to land pretty close to me. You needed a smoke after that. ‘We didn’t know if we were going to be alive from one day to the next, so we thought you might as well enjoy yourself while you’re alive.’

He turned 3 years old.

Hisahito is the first male heir born in 41 years to the imperial family and is third in line to succeed Emperor Akihito, 75, on Japan's Chrysanthemum Throne. Their only seed to grow their imperial family tree!

The emperor and his wife have cut back official appearances because of stress-related illnesses. Princess Masako has also largely kept out of the public eye because of chronic depression.

In contrast, little Prince Hisahito appears to be the picture of health. I guess it got to do with the amount of ginseng, bird nest all sorts of high grade herbal products.

Reports said he loves his tricycle and knows how to dress himself. Probably a future takeshi in the making?

Fiona Xie has resigned from Mediacorp. :( Well, probably to mediacorp loss.

With Mediacorp’s dominance, quitting the company is as good as quitting Singaporean showbiz altogether.

A probable reason is that Fiona is seeking opportunities overseas.
Regardless, wish her well in her future endeavours, whatever it’s going to be.
And i believe we all will want her back to our screen sometime soon!

FIONA Xie has verbally tendered her resignation, according to a good friend: 'Fiona was unhappy because she felt that the company had tried to portray her with a negative image.
'Even though she was offered the second female lead role in (upcoming Channel 8 blockbuster drama) Together, it was a 'bad girl' role.'

Fiona, 27, was to play a materialistic woman who comes between the lead characters, played by Jeanette Aw and Dai Yangtian.

She had initially accepted the role in the series and even had her imaging - where artists finalise the hair, clothes and make-up for their character - done.

Local actress Eelyn Kok has since replaced her in the TV drama.

Fiona entered the local showbiz scene eight years ago and charmed viewers with her good looks and gregarious personality in Channel 8 dramas such as The Champion and Just In Singapore.

She was later identified as one of the up and coming young actresses, together with Joanne Peh, Jeanette Aw, Jesseca Liu, Felicia Chin, Rui En and Dawn Yeoh.

Mr Paul Chan, Channel 8's vice-president of branding and promotions who's famed for his candid discussions of Channel 8 artists on his Bagua TV Blog, said he had no idea if Fiona had given notice.

He refused comment on whether this news had come as a surprise to him.

Fiona's good friend, celebrity hairstylist David Gan, reportedly told Shin Min on Wednesday that he knew that Fiona was going to quit two weeks ago.

But when contacted yesterday, he claimed that he didn't know anything about her supposed resignation.

Yet, he offered a few reasons that could have pushed the actress to leave. One is what he calls the strict 'disciplinary code' affecting local artists.

David said Fiona often felt stifled as an artist and longed for freedom of creativity in her work.

Freedom of speech, job-wise, was also a luxury that she didn't have, as she was often criticised by her management when she spoke her mind.

Then there's the question of money. David believes she may have decided to seek greener pastures abroad where artists are generally paid higher salaries.

While other local artists would also likely face the same problems, David pointed out that Fiona deserves more.

'There are so few local actresses that have the natural X-factor and Fiona is one of them. She looks like a star, she is a star. It's definitely our loss.'

News of her resignation will come as no surprise to many if reports of her recent 'disappearance' are anything to go by. The New Paper had reported two months ago that her friends and colleagues like Elvin Ng and Adrian Pang were all puzzled about her sudden disappearance and clueless as to her whereabouts.

In July, after dropping out of Together, Fiona's manager told The New Paper that she had gone abroad to attend to some personal matters.

There was speculation that she was having personal problems and had fled to an unknown destination because of boyfriend trouble.

That month, however, someone claimed to have seen her shopping at Bugis and alerted the media, but the actress remained uncontactable.

Her manager said yesterday Fiona had recently completed the filming for variety show Singapore Flavours in Japan and San Francisco.

Optimistically, they may be using high grade rice to make!

Standard Chartered Marathon 2008

Just came back from Stand Chart singapore marathon not long ago.

FYI, i took up the least distance category haha..Certainly not the kids dash, its the mens 10km.

The event stated that the run will start at 0730 and participants can get prepared at 0715 onwards.

But I woke up late thus arriving there at 0740.

I panic, start running and asking those people that are wearing the stand chart singlet where the hell is the starting point.

To my surprise when i reached the starting point, the mens are still preparing and warming up and waiting for the green light. And ard 750, the DJ shoutout GO! and the crowds(ang mohs' and Singapore Sports Council ppl) cheering. START of my 10km.

The last stretch is the best part. Because there are crowds cheering u on. Your blood is pumping and u can feel the adrenaline rush. Of coz i sprinted to the finish line.

Throughout the run, i stop and walk for about 2 times.
But i still managed to finish in about 1 hr 5 mins.

Not so bad for me cause i didn't do any pre training at all :)

Its the day when Winson had cleared his last UOL exam paper. The girls had already planned to savor a good meal in the aftermath of his last paper. But u know girls; b4 the actual day itself, they can't really think/plan any place they wanted to go to and it really depends on their mood hahaha.

B4 winson last attack on UOL, he smsed me where r we heading to after his last paper and he wanted a ktv session after that! can see he really anticipainting it!

i met up with bibi after her catchup session with her darling.
She called jessi to ask her where she would want to have dinner, but only to found out she was still sleeping :(

But this has nothing to do with my lovable gf, frens or the hotel!
Some of the nn are one-time-big arsehole, they'll do anything for money!
They wun give others any chance unless u're the same species. And in the FI they will always serve, smile or watever seems polite to their species first.

The Japanese are a very clever and ingenious people. Who else but a Japanese person could live in somebody else's house for a year without them even knowing?

It seems a homeless woman sneaked into a man's house and lived undetected in his wardrobe for an entire year. The woman was only discovered after the man became suspicious about food mysteriously disappearing from his kitchen.
Police found the 58-year-old woman hiding in the top com-partment of the man's wardrobe and arrested her for tres-passing. The man had installed security cameras that transmitted images to his mobile phone after becoming puzzled by food disappearing from his kitchen.
One of the cameras captured someone moving inside his home after he had left, and he called police believing it was a burglar. However, when they arrived they found the door locked and all the windows closed.
"We searched the house, checking everywhere someone could possibly hide," a police spokesman said.
"When we slid open the shelf closet, there she was, curled up on her side."
The woman told police she had nowhere to live and first sneaked into the man's house about a year ago when he left it unlocked. She had moved a mattress into the small closet space and even took showers.
If only my kids were that quiet and discreet.

yeah, my google ad sense account hit >100 !!! At least there's some bucks going into my pocket! And to cope with our country high inflation rate!

Well, these few days have been goin to the library wif bibi, she's been doing her intensive mugging while I am copped up with my final year proj.

And whenever i've got proj meeting, the only thing that perks me up is the gym-ing session with bibi after my proj meeting.

Best of all i'll get either yummylicious food cooked by bibi or her mum's generous and complete big-portion set meal.

Simply loved mee goreng tat is cooked by bibi, definitely better than outsides' stalls. And her mum's soup is second to none, veri nutritious and sweeet. In no time, i'll get wobble fatty! Hopefully the gym sessions will neutralise it.

oh ya we didn't get the opportunity to try out pig intestine soup by seng's aunt. Recommended by seng himself and he proclaimed it to the best.

Its thai new year juz in case u guys didn't knw.

And this year their holiday falls on sunday which is the norm working day for us :( . Unlike last year it was held on a sat where we can work one more extra day...

i had a few sundays of lacking and slogging juz because of some mixup between my agent. Arghh missed few weeks of sun work and MONEY.
But anyhow i get to work on this Songkran.
Every year on this day, the crowd is larger than the norm sunday. There will a live band and the thais will start to sing, pour water and dance around.
They always start to pour water or apply powder to faces, juz b4 or when the live band started.
They said that it is an act of respect by pouring water or applying powder to another's face

Last year we're all fully drenched, but not this time ard, coz our working time is shorter and we zoom straight back home when they started pouring intensively. However their new year seems more fun and happening than us.

Yes the title is not Nanyang Poly but it's my name! Okie its sort of my big day.
Well i really feel big (after eating most of the cake),
and old (after counting the numbers of big and small candles on the cake). The cake is really cheeseslicious. Real chessy, my liking, simply love it!
Shared with my family members and my bibi, however i get the most bite out of it. heehe :D
Thanks a million to my bibi for getting the cake i'm craving for so long. CHEESE CAKE. i simply love cheese to the max and not to forget potato wahaha and fried/bbq chicken wing... haha i need to stop if not the list will probably go on and match up with the length of Great Wall China.

Finally got a chance to get a hop onto the flyer! But but but the weather is doing us no good! Its pouring since morning and cum afternoon we're thought it will stop.

Well wat i can conclude of the sg flyer is that its way too spacious! the seats is not comfy at all, and it should be open concept. Maybe they design for the safety and comfy.. still struggling to absorb! Distributed systems is really the toughest examination module.
No Tips sums it all. And if i burn my labtop which contains my module notes to ashes, and then drink it, it still won't help. Simply becoz u have to understand and knw how to apply the concepts.

Since the release of SAW I, I’ve been a ‘loyal’ fan by watching their movies ‘legally’. Many of my mates were disgusted after watching that show, purely because of the ill fate of the victims. ie, separation of body parts, intestines entangling their body.

And I just finished watching SAW IV this morning. What a way to start my day!
The movie was as usual, brutal yet I find it awesome. Jigsaw is the man behind all the plots. All the tests that he engineered are truly of a high-class sadist works.
You got to pass arguably the toughest test in under the time frame given to you, if not you will die horrifyingly. It tests your mind over your body. Make a decisive decision and dun look back!

Can u withstand the immense pain to pass the test and survive but be terrified and phobic for the rest of your life? Or you’ll rather die looking like a crap and needing many funeral cosmeticians and plastic surgeons.

Im happy to leave the place as they still serve good food! And moreover, there is no service charge and price quoted is gst inclusive. However, they dun serve plain or ice water. So if u're planning to get 1, u will get an additional '30cents' footed to ur bill.

And 1 thing to comment is their staff's' uniform which is a bit 'off'. Their tees is in dull white color, and look damn old. Those 'ah peks' or market-mongers will fancy them.

All i can say is thumbs up for their prawn soup base. Its real sweet. You simply can't get enough of it. Needless to say that their prawns are fresh. However i miss out on their big prawns as i feel the price is a little too expensive. However the downside is that their pork rib doesn't really tastes that well. Because i've set lavandar army market prawn noodle as the benchmark. Their pork rib is certainly better than east coast one.

Christmas Day is just like any norm public holiday.
Family get-together for a family-swim? a shopping trip? a sight-seeing trip? In another words, it's a resting or relaxing day whereby there is not any heaps of pressure nor any drip of cold sweats. Termed as 'LET YOUR HAIR DOWN' day.

Well, we settled for a homely feast rather than an expensive dine-out. Not only we can cut cost, we can enjoy the healthy benefits. Less salt, no msg but more vege!
flexibility is achieved too, u can simply add in the ingredients u liked! more meat if u wan to be a muscular man with overly-insane looking arms/body. more carbo if u wanna fats to be oozing out in every part of ur body. more vege is u wan some form of 'stuff' to grow inside ur body.

Summary - 90% work by baby, 10% by me. At least i do some cutting, stir frying, mixing , washing the plates.

Cooking (can be/is really) tedious and tiring. However, u can't buy the satisfaction when u've completed ur assignment. And delirious satisfaction when u see the smile on their faces while they're munching on the food.
I bet this is how my baby felt.

So as to ease/clear the girls' steamboat craving, we went to bugis since that area is heavily competing against each other, be it price or quality wise.
We meet them early so as to avoid the dinner crowd and also to scout for the better yet cheap offer. And luck rode on us, the first shop that we recce, offers us a cheap deal. (i guess is due to the fact that they thought we will consume less and probably won't stay that long unlike those 'cheena' or those army guys)
And best of all, the shop is air-conditioned and well-known for its fried man tou.

I love golden mushroom, potato and fried bun! and we ate a lot. (In fact it was me who ate the most)

My stomach was too bloated at that time and i figured out if i dun walk off the air, it might explode. (imagine all the golden mushrooms that will spill or crawl out from my mouth. Yucks i know) So we took a stroll to Doby Ghaut and of coz i lead them the way.

Essentially a good hearty breakfast is good for your health. It perks up your body start ur day feeling afresh and energetic.

1 of a good place will be at the eastern side of singapore, changi village. The vilage/market is filled with good food like nasi lemak, chicken chop hor fun, seafood just to name a few.

There is a vast contrast between the day and the night.

Well at night, the place (roundabout carpark) is paraded with tall men, dressed in skimpy outfit, showing off their man-made assets. (bouncing boobs and perky butt).
If u're a guy, they will wink and smile to u. Best still if u're wif a group of guys.
Well they also have a sexy yet girly hoarse voice which will make every strand of ur hair stand.

Finally its sunday! simply love to work at golden mile. They have the best aunty, who not only cooks good food but also has a kind and generous heart; always treat us thai goodies and drinks! Their soup, chicken wing and mango rice are da best at little thai! Heard that she also had set up a school for the poorer kids in thailand for studies.
Moreover, at work, we have got our entertainer, educator and also analyst, 3-in-1 Youfa who teaches and preaches us about life, his way of living and way of thinking.

FINALLY, after work met up wif my dearest:D. We went to MOF at bugis for japanese cuisine!
